Unleash Your Inner Champion at the Delhi Bar Association's Sports Extravaganza!

The Delhi Bar Association's Executive Committee invites our esteemed Judges, Advocates, Lawyers and Court Staff across Delhi to participate in Khel-Utsav 2.0. Join us for a season of friendly competition in five thrilling sports: Gully Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom, and Chess.

Competition Rules

  • Eligibility: Open to all Judges, Advocates, Lawyers, Court staff and all members of legal fraternity across Delhi.
  • Registration: Online registration through the Delhi Bar Association website, deadline: 21.10.2024. The participants are FREE to register themselves for more than one sports and category.
  • The participants shall be provided with Jersey (Upper and Lower), on successful registration. The participants shall collect the same from their Co-Ordinator. The participants shall be provided with only one set of Jersey, irrespective of the number of sports and categories registered for.
  • The Organizing Committee will provide the sports equipment to the participants before the matches. The participants shall be responsible to return the same at the end of their match.

Gully Cricket Rules

  • Maximum 7 players per team (Male, Female or Both).
  • Each match will be 6 overs, with 6 balls per over.
  • Each match includes a "magic over" where runs are doubled, decided by the batting team.
  • If a batsman hits the ball outside the ground, they will be out.
  • 3 consecutive dot balls will result in the batsman being out.
  • Underarm bowling is mandatory.
  • One Tip One Hand rule applies: a catch after one bounce results in the batsman being out.
  • Tied matches will be decided by a "Super Over".
  • No age category, each team must have at least one player.
  • Registration Fees: ₹10,000 per team

Table Tennis Rules

  • Each match shall be a knock-out match.
  • Matches will be played across the following categories:
    • Singles (Male/Female)
    • Doubles (Male/Female)
    • Mixed Doubles
  • Each category will further be divided into the following age groups:
    • 25-35 years
    • 35-45 years
    • 45-55 years
    • Above 55 years
  • Registration Fees:
    • Rs. 750/- for Single (Male/Female) Category
    • Rs. 750/- for each player in Double (Male/Female) Category
    • Rs. 750/- for each player in Mixed Double Category
  • The Organizing Committee reserves its rights to reject any registration form, if adequate registration fee is not paid.

Badminton Rules

  • Single elimination format. Best of 3 games to 15 points.
  • The server must serve diagonally across the court.
  • Points awarded for faults, such as hitting the net or landing outside the court.
  • Matches will be played across the following categories:
    • Singles (Male/Female)
    • Doubles (Male/Female)
    • Mixed Doubles
  • Each category will further be divided into the following age groups:
    • 25-35 years
    • 35-45 years
    • 45-55 years
    • Above 55 years
  • Registration Fees:
    • Rs. 750/- for Single (Male/Female) Category
    • Rs. 750/- for each player in Double (Male/Female) Category
    • Rs. 750/- for each player in Double (Mixed) Category
  • The Organizing Committee reserves its rights to reject any registration form, if adequate registration fee is not paid.

Carrom Rules

  • Single elimination format.
  • Players flick the striker to pocket coins.
  • Matches will be played across the following categories:
    • Mixed Singles
    • Mixed Doubles
  • Registration Fees:
    • Rs. 750/- for Single (Male/Female) Category
    • Rs. 750/- for each player in Double (Male/Female) Category
    • Rs. 750/- for each player in Double (Mixed) Category
  • The Organizing Committee reserves its rights to reject any registration form, if adequate registration fee is not paid.

Chess Rules

  • Matches shall be played in Round-Robin format.
  • Standard chess rules apply for castling and touch-move.
  • Draws result in a stalemate.
  • Registration Fees: Rs. 750/- for each player.
  • The Organizing Committee reserves its rights to reject any registration form, if adequate registration fee is not paid.

Payment Process

To register for Khel Utsav 2.0, please fill the registration form and complete the payment.

After successful completion of payment process, the participant shall be permitted to enter Event WhatsApp Groups, for further updates and notifications.
