DELHI BAR ASSOCIATION

Aims and Objective

The aims and objectives of the Delhi Bar Association are as follows:

1. To maintain the dignity and independence of the legal profession
2. To uphold the rule of law and the Constitution of India;
3. To promote and protect the rights and interests of lawyers practicing in Delhi;
4. To provide a forum for lawyers & advocates to exchange ideas, share knowledge and experience, and to network with each other;
5. To enhance the skills of lawyers & advocates through continuing legal education programs and training;
6. To provide legal aid and assistance to the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society;
7. To encourage and support pro bono work by lawyers & advocates in the community;
8. To take measures including founding and applying of funds for aid to deserving members of their families and its employees;
9. To provide a platform for lawyers to voice their concerns and grievances;
10. To promote transparency and accountability in the functioning of the legal system in Delhi.
